One of the many children with recurring ear infections

  • | Gergely Zsuzsanna

When my daughter was three years old, she developed a middle ear infection. Despite the prescribed course of antibiotics, she did not recover. Although her fever subsided, she remained weak and exhausted, and her ear was still inflamed and painful.

We visited Dr. Henrik Szőke in Pilisszentkereszt, who, instead of prescribing another round of antibiotics, recommended a traditional natural treatment approach. Following his instructions, we applied finely chopped salted onion to our daughter’s ear, kept her indoors to avoid secondary infections, regularly used nasal sprays prepared from different solutions, and gave her salt and lavender essential oil foot baths in the evenings.

By following the treatment and the doctor’s instructions very carefully, my daughter recovered within ten days. The illness did not return and there were no relapses.

Of course, we also had to face the fact that our daughter was prone to ear infections. From time to time her ears would become inflamed again during colds, after swimming, and in similar situations. However, by recognizing the first signs early and applying Dr. Henrik’s methods, the problem could always be resolved within a few days.

My daughter is now over five years old, and according to our local pediatrician, she has “grown out of” ear infections. Personally, I would phrase it differently: thanks to Dr. Henrik’s methods, we avoided the well-known “ear infection ordeal” — the endless journey from hospital to hospital, doctor to doctor, medication to medication, and the constant fear of side effects caused by medicines. The natural treatment methods used by Dr. Henrik have no side effects. My daughter has a happy, balanced childhood with only very rare illnesses.

As a physician, instead of relying solely on the usual “spoonful medicines,” he focuses on thoroughly understanding and resolving the underlying problems. It is reassuring to know that Dr. Henrik exists — someone parents can turn to with complete trust whenever their child has a problem.
